The portal to magical worlds
In this book, Maddie Morrow takes you to Havenfall. This is the only place where she feels like she belongs. Havenfall has a secret. At first sight, it looks like any other inn, but this inn guards a really big secret. It protects the portals to all magical realms.
It is the innkeepers’ job to keep the peace between all the worlds. The current innkeeper is Maddie’s uncle Marcus. This is a job that passes from generation to generation. Marcus doesn’t have children, so our heroine has been working Summer jobs at the inn as preparation.
This Summer everything is different. During the first night of the peace summit, a monster escapes and Marcus gets hurt. So Maddie gets the first taste of life as the innkeeper in the most thrilling Summer ever.
I got this book in my first Illumicrate box. This book drew me in immediately because it’s the ideal combination of a coming of age and a fantasy book.
I recommend this book because it had a nice blend between the real world and the fantasy world of Havenfall. If you ever feel like you don’t belong then this book is for you.
